Dinner ideas and portion control...

Hey everybody,
I'm noticing that with ww I'm doing great during the day, but really struggle with dinners. I live in NYc and admittedly, we don't really cook a lot, so that may need to change as well. Does anyone have good ideas for dinner (what do you typically eat?). Does anyone measure etc. I feel like maybe it's not so much what I'm eating, but maybe just too much of it? ....

If your DH is willing to, I always get a side salad and pick off of DH's plate.

I don't do WW, but hopefully this will help.

Yes, you should measure. It's the only way I was able to learn portion control. You should buy a scale at a cooking store. (I got mine at Home Goods.) (If you don't already have one that it.) You need to start weighing your meat before you put it on your plate. After a while, you'll actually get to the point that you can eye-ball it.

I make a lot of grilled meat. (steak, chicken and pork) I use a George Forman since I live in an apartment. It's a great way of cooking w/o oil or other added fat. And then I make a plain vegi.

I used to measure EVERYTHING until I learned portion sizes. Now i know what a cup of rice or pasta looks like and I can keep track of what I eat without measuring. It's annoying at first but becomes 2nd nature. and it REALLY does work

good luck!
