Re: Dinner Inspiration

Yes - I do have a George Forman Grill. Though the only thing I cook on it is Veggie Burgers (my DH pleads with me please no more veggie burgers). I would love to cook chicken breats on it - but do not know how to marinate the breasts so they do not taste dried out.

Re: Dinner Inspiration

You can marinate the chicken in Italian dressing before you put it on the forman. That tastes great or you can just egg and bread them and bake the chicken in the oven. Nice and easy : ).

my fiance is easy. Cook the chicken breasts by pan or george forman.
and mix with salsa, or hot sauce.

Re: Dinner Inspiration

karens right, breading is easy first you can optional dip in flour, then dip in egg(beaten with a little water) the coat bread crumbs or more flour. it can be pan fried or oven cooked. or simply coat chicken with corn starch salt & pepper

Re: Dinner Inspiration

Ingredients

1 teaspoon onion, finely chopped
3 tablespoons brown sugar
4 tablespoons soy sauce
4 tablespoons red wine vinegar
2 teaspoons chopped fresh thyme
1 teaspoon sesame oil
3 cloves garlic, chopped
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1 habanero pepper, sliced
4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves - cut into 1 inch strips

Directions

1 Combine the onion, brown sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, thyme, sesame oil, garlic, allspice and habanero pepper in the container of a food processor or blender. Process until smooth. Place the chicken into a large resealable bag, and pour in 3/4 of the sauce. Squeeze out excess air, and seal. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least one hour.

2 Preheat your oven's broiler.

3 Remove chicken from bag, and discard marinade. Broil chicken for 10 to 15 minutes, turning once to ensure even cooking. Heat remaining sauce in a small pan, and pour over chicken when serving.

Also good grilled! Can substitute Olive oil for sesame oil, or forego altogether. If using a george foreman grill cook 5 minutes per side and check

We can have a recipe thread

A recipe/cooking thread would be excellent! I think a lot of newlyweds (like me) could use the help/inspiration!

Re: Dinner Inspiration

I think you are better off cooking chicken breasts with the bone in in the oven,.. just sprinkle some itlaian seasoning and some rosemary and bake at 350 ... the skin is nice and crispy and the chicken stays moist.. if you are worried about fat, put a little rack inside the roasting pan (that stays at least 1/2 inch off the bottom of the pan, pour a glass of water in the bottom of the pan and but the breasts on the rack.. then the fat drips down (or you can use the drippings and water as gravy!

The forman grill is best with no bone breasts.. i marinade the breast in balsamic vinigar, or italian dressing, with some seasonings, then throw them on the foreman, if they are thin cut, they will cook in like five minutes..
