direct tv or cable

i have direct tv but i am not happy with them

Which do you guys recommend?

I chose cable. There's just way too many problems with Satellite.

I hate them both, but I have cable and hate it less..does that make sense?

Where I live I can only have Direct TV, but if I had the choice, I would take cable.

i am thinking of going back to cable. direct tv says that they will help there customers but they do not.

cable...satelitte is too finicky..it's raining, no pic, it's windy, no pic, it's sunny, no pic....it may be old school, but cable just rocks. there has to be a massive storm that hits/cuts wires for that stuff to go out....now the equipment stinks sometimes (our DVR has been broken-in a strange way-since 2 weeks after we got it, but we just have been too lazy to trade it in.)

I thought I heard that Verizon was actually trying to start a cable service. I hope so bc then we can have some options instead of going with Cablevision b/c they are the only provider right now..

ive had both and i like cable and HATED satellite
all it takes is for the wind to blow a little and the damn channels go out

For some people, directv is great, however, if you have high def tvs, their service is more expensive than having cable b/c you dont pay an extra monthly charges, and forget if you want a high def dvr, you pay through the roof!!!!!
Verizon is offering tv service right now only in massapequa if you sign up for FIOS which is the new fiber optic service that includes phone, internet and also tv.
