Direction cards

Direction cards

Do you need to include direction cards in your invitations? My ceremony and reception are at the same location and on the invitation I put 'Smithtown Landing Country Club, Smithtown New York'. It's 2013, will people just google map it or do I need to include a direction card?

I included it for the older generation that didn't have gps or don't use computors.

I am having the same issue. Does it matter if the direction cards aren't in the same stationary as the other parts of the invitation?

I made my own invitations on vistaprint, so I just made another postcard with the directions so everything matched. But it it cost too much I would not.

Re: Direction cards

my ceremony is at my RH and they provide direction cards so I'm just using them even though they don't match the stationary, i'm hiding them in the back behind everything else (my invitations are in pocket folders)

I didn't include direction cards in mine. Everyone has GPS, even the older people in my family and if some don't, they will ask the younger people in the family for the directions off of Mapquest or something. I'm not worried.

I did because they were free from the venue anyway, and like the other girls I just stuck them inbetween. They were pretty and didn't look bad even though they didn't match.

I got mine from my RH and am just going to put them into the envelope.

I did even though they did not match...they were free and adding them did not affect the weight of the postage. Its not necessary but a plus if you add them. I say if it doesnt affect the postage cost then go for it and if it does i wouldnt put them in the invite!

I am getting married at Landing too! Why not include the direction cards they gave you?

I plan on including the direction cards from the venue.

I also used the ones from my hall. They ended up matching perfectly oddly enough. I spent enough on my invites so I wasn't trying to make or spend more on direction cards

Re: Direction cards

Mine was included with our invite package so we sent in a copy of the one SLCC gave us to send out and our invite person copied it word for word to match our invite.

Re: Direction cards

I included them, had them made to match my invitation... later figured out how I could have DIY!

I'm getting married in April so if anyone needs help starting in May I'm happy to help!

I made up my own direction cards for landing, if you want the template I can e-mail it to you.

We are including them. We decided they would be needed to list our website and then hotel and wedding directions for the older crowd. We just didn't want to chance anyone getting lost. We are doing them to match our invites, so it is an extra expense.
