She told me to come with dirty hair. My last 2 trials I had clean hair...
I plan to wash my hair on the wedding day. Do you think I should go with clean hair anyway to see how it would actually hold up?
If anyone got their trial with dirty hair, did you also have dirty hair on your wedding day?

i have always heard that day old dirty hair is best for holding hair stlyes.... im not going to wash my hair day of ill wash the night b4

I was told not to wash my hair for the day of the trial or the day of the wedding. I washed it the day before for both.

I was told by M*i*a to have clean hair on the day of the wedding, i forgot if i had clean hair for the trial.

they always say dirty hair will hold the style better, but i dunno, i wanted to feel clean on my wedding and if i had dirty hair i would have felt gross! i would just do your hair as if it were your wedding day!
if you plan on wearing clean hair, then go with clean hair...

Just wash it the night before. It'll still be clean. It's bad to wash your hair every day, at least that's what I read.

dirty hair does hold up better. for every occasion that i have had to get my hair done in an updo, i have always had hair that was washed the night before and it help up beautifully and looked gorgeous. i have never gotten my hair done in a down style though so i am not sure about that.

since you are doing a trial for it down, I think either way would be fine. Does she know what style you're looking to do? I think with up-dos they like it day old. Not sure.

My hair person told me to have clean....I think its a myth that dirty hair holds better....mine would be a bit too greasy if I waited a day. I had clean hair for my trial and the day of and both times my hair held perfectly

i had clean hair for my trial and I felt the curls didnt hold up...they got very soft by the end of the day (I wore the hairstyle to a wedding). I think one day dirty hair may be better depending in how oily your hair gets.

if your hair has a hard time holding, I would definitely recommend going with dirty hair. Everytime I've had my hair done, I've always got it done with dirty hair and my hair held up all night long.

Just wash it the night before. It'll still be clean. It's bad to wash your hair every day, at least that's what I read.
ITA. Just don't wash it the morning of. That's what I usually do.

When FSIL got married we were told dirty hair. So I've been asking around and so far all the hair people I have spoken to AND my hair girl for the wedding told me to NOT wash my hair the day of. It becomes too soft and hard to work with and it would come down too early in the night. The dirty hair holds in the hairspray and whatever else and makes the look last longer. I'm not washing my hair the day of, I'll wash it the night before.

My everyday hair stylist says the same thing. the natural oils in your hair help it stay perfect.

I actually never heard about the whole dirty hair thing. Does it depend on your hair type or style? I have straight hair that can never hold curls for more than a couple of hours. However, I am planning on wearing my hair up for the wedding so would it matter??

from my years modeling and pageants, I was always told wash your hair night before, not the day of a shoot or having your hair done.
However, Renee told me that it didnt really matter, she would be 'dirtying' my hair up enough wtih hairspray and such that it would still hold
