I called Bridal Reflections today to get an exact date of when my gown would be in. I wanted to make sure both mom and FMIL were going to be there with me.
Last month when I placed the call for the same question she told me it will be here in January!!! I called today today and they said my gown won't be done until April! It was a miscommunication and that my veil would be here in January! I was so upset and disappointed!!!!!!!!!!
I really wanted to try it on! I am having those OMG did I choose the right dress doubts. Not to mention I have lost 40lbs since my initial purchase fitting!
The rep said she will try to see if they can push it earlier and will contact me tomorrow, but I can't imagine its going to be ready earlier than I anticipated!

Wow that's a big discrepancy in months. I am so sorry to hear that. I'm sure your gown will be beautiful. 40 POUNDS???? Are you kidding???? That is awesome. Go you.

Im so sorry to hear to hear that. i started to go to bridal Reflections.
They can alter your dress with no problem. when I bought my dress it was my size and the sales lady told me she could alter the dress if I lost weight. she said the problem is when you gain weight. How did you lose 40 pounds. whats your secert.

wow April, sorry but does that give enough time for alterations?? If you are having doubts, go try on the sample again. thats what i did and fell in love all over again.

...Bridal Reflections did call earlier this morning and they seem extremely sorry for the miscommunication. I really truly know she told me January and think she confused herself with my veil arrival (I ordered 2 and knew that they came in I just didn't know they came in separately so I never bothered to ask-this is how I know I am sure they told me January for the dress.)
Anyhow, she called and says she is keeping in touch with the designer and pushing for a March delivery, still I heard her say late March. I am not worried about alterations because if they can't do it I know someone who can and in record time, she will truly not sleep and will be sewing your dress on your wedding day!
I just really wanted to try it on and reassure myself it is the one! I don't want to discourage anyone using them as a vendor because it could be an honest mistake.

I ordered my dress and BM dress from Bridal Reflections in Massapequa.
Can you tell me how long it takes for the dress to come in. I totally forgot to ask!!!!! Im wondering hom much time I have to lose weight!!! :)

Thanks again! I am excited about my weight loss too! It takes a lot of patience and persistence. I truly went every where with my 64oz water bottle and portion controlled everything!

First of all CONGRATS on loosing 40lbs!!!! That's amazing!
As far as your dress, I definitely feel your pain. I ordered my dress last June and can't get it until 8 weeks before the wedding, and am also wondering if I made the right choice! For the store to tell you you'll receive it in January and then back out is crazy. I would definitely pester them and be on top of them until they do something for you. If not Jan., then maybe Feb. or early March, but definitely not April.

First I am sorry to hear this happened, did they try to make some kind of excuse or are they going to accomodate you in any way? This makes me nervous as I got my dress from there too...they told me March or April.
Second WHOOOO congrats on the 40 lbs!! That is amazing!! You should be so proud of yourself!

im sorry BR got the dates wrong. you should have enough time. i was there this past sunday and i was told by 3 people they take in the dress up to 5 sizes.

that *****!!! I hear horrible things about Bridal Reflections- they are very unorganized and rude. Plus they now have a new policy that they ask for your credit card # to hold an appointment and charge u 50 bucks if you don't show up! When they did that to me I didn't want to give them business. On the other hand if you don't mind dealing with crappy service, I heard they do have beautiful dresses....

don't worry!! my cousin wne through the same thing and it came in a month before they said. ....
My cousin lost a lot of weight too and they worked wonders with the dress. They will make it work!!
