It's been awhile since I've posted or perused the boards, because my FH and I bought a house! But now that we're settled, we're refocusing on the wedding and the myriad of details yet to be decided. Such as my dress! I found one that I absolutely loved on the Priscilla of Boston website, one that I could now afford since they're going out of business. So I went with my mom to the store in Massapequa and it was awful. They didn't have the dress I wanted, there weren't enough mirrors for the number of brides trying dresses on, and the salesperson acted like she knew better than I what I wanted. My mom and I were both surprised that we didn't feel emotional at all when I put on the first dress, let alone the entire time. Now I'm worried I won't ever feel that 'this is it!' feeling about a dress...and time is running out!

Just make sure you don't show anyone especially those 'friends' that act like they are true friends look at what happened to me.

No worries! You didnt feel that emotion bc that place made you stressed. Erase it out of your mind and try another place. I loved paradise bridal in patchogue. Very lovely women work there, plenty of dresses and they lower the lights for you to see how you would look at your reception. Check it out. Your gonna get a connection and your gonna look beautiful!

Re: Disappointing Dress Shopping
Just keep looking, I did so many internet searches that I knew exactly what I wanted even before I went, turns out it was the one I went with. I did go to other places just to make sure though.
