I'm sorry you felt that way, but I have to disagree! I had the most pleasant experience with Kleinfelds!

Thanks, now I am happy I found my dress elsewhere...I have heard that people have great experiences there though.Maybe it depends on the salesperson you get. Anyway, good luck with your dress hunting

So long story short, They really lay the pressure on to buy on the spot and as soon as I told my salesperson that I would NOT be purchasing anything today, she became a little nasty & I could tell that she did not want to help me. There was a trunk show today, & she only brought me dresses to try on from that designer (which when I got there, I told her I do not care for) When I went out into the main room, I could tell that the other brides were trying on this designer's dresses as well with each of their salespeople telling them that the dress they were trying on was 'the one' I found it to be an unpleasant experience and I am sorry I wasted my time there. I was really bumed about not finding a dress & as I was driving home from the train, I saw Iman Bridal --- located 5 minutes from my house!!! I went in and loved every single dress- The salespeople were so nice & pateient with me & I think I may have found my dress!! I have another appointment tomorrow moring at a different salon but I am close to picking a dress. Just wanted to give you guys a warning that at Kleinfeld's you will feel pressured to buy.
Sorry to hear about your bad experience
I can not handle pushy sales people.......this should be a fun experience for you......not just another commission check for them!
Glad you received good service from the other salon !!

So sorry to hear that you had a bad experience at Kleinfelds. But, their are pretty or bridal salons as you witnessed on your home. It's sad that some salespeople are rude but you learn from that experience and move on.

I would read up on some Iman reviews... my SIL had a horrific experience there and everytime we went there there was a new person screaming or crying. One day we went in and the owner was talking to some spirtual woman saying how she saw it in her destiny or something to sell her store because she wanted out of the business... who knows...

Re: Disappointing visit to Kleinfeld's but love Iman
Just thought I would throw my experience in.
I had a wonderful time at Klienfeld's. They brought me a ton of different dresses to try on, even though they knew I wasn't interested in buying anything that day.
There was a trunk show, but I only saw maybe one or two dresses from that designer. Everything else was exactly my style. My salesperson was amazing (Jennifer) and found me a dress that made me feel like a beautiful bride.
She really took interest in what I liked and put NO pressure on me to buy. She told me she would write my info down and to call her when and if I was ready. Though the dress I want is probably too far out of my budget, their service is only thing that is keeping it a possibility in my mind.
Just my experience....

Re: Disappointing visit to Kleinfeld's but love Iman
I was actually at this trunk show this weekend - I went Friday evening and brought my mother with me today. I had a very different experience.
They definitely want you to buy, but I didn't find that they were nasty. In fact, our saleswoman told us that they don't work on commission. I told her I wasn't ready to buy, but I didn't feel any change in attitude. They even let me use the video streaming so I could show my sister who was at home. It was very cool to be chatting with my sister on the phone while she was watching me on her computer.
It was a Justina McCaffrey trunk show and I love her dresses (as you can see from my avatar) so maybe that's why it was a more pleasant experience for me. Justina's husband was there and he came over to us and was really sweet and helpful - as was a saleswoman from Justina McCaffrey. She actually remembered me from the night before and came over to introduce herself to my mother.
It was my first shopping trip so I feel like I need to go see a few more places, but Kleinfeld's is the only shop in this area who sells Justina's dresses so I'll probably end up there anyway!
