Although I have 'plenty of time' (2 years) I am trying to get myself to start losing weight now, so hopefully by the time the wedding comes I will lose the 30 pounds I want to lose.
I started having anxiety attacks right after we got engaged and when I started my new job It really stinks- my 'lifestyle' had to change . . .
I was an avid caffeineaholic, would use various weightloss assistance (herballife, metabolife) and would have a generally easy time losing weight.
Once these attacks started, my physician put me on the lowest dose of paxil CR (which could possibly make you gain weight or make it difficult for one to lose weight) and told me to stay away from caffeine completely.
I have joined curves, been trying to follow the atkins diet (which gets monotonous after a while for me) and when I get tired of the atkins I switch over to WW. On both diets, I'll lose about 5 pounds and then plateau. After getting fed up with a plateau, I generally will yo-yo back up 5 pounds.
I guess I am having a really bad day, and I am sorry to take up everone's time- i am just so frustrated and discouraged- maybe it is just too soon and I am not truly motivated yet, I guess I just needed to vent, and maybe get some encouragement from my favorite web group!
Thanks girls

Instead of dieting, why don't you try to eat solid meals and exercising?? Smaller portions and lots more meals. I never believed in anything that you had to change your lifestyle so drastically. I wish you all the best. Hav eyou considered going to a dietician???

I too am trying to start early on the slim down. I want to lose 50 pounds before the big day. Wedding is Nov. 5,2004. I am also on meds. This will make it more diffuclt, I am sure. I'm trying the exercise and diet route. Hopefully this will work. Started WW last week. I'll keep you updated.
