Re: Disney
I'm not going to Disney on our honeymoon - but I've been twice in the past few years. Just FYI - it is VERY expensive to say inside the resort at one of their hotels. However, it is definitely worth it because it is very easy to get around. I loved staying at the Wilderness Lodge, as well as the one with the beach at it - can't remember the name. All the hotels are on tiered price levels. You don't need to stay at the top tier, but the next teir down is good for a honeymoon. If you go through Disney directly, they can tell you about the Park Hopper packages and such. And yes, I think the dining plan option is definitely worth it - we did the one that was 2 meals a day and it was perfect.

We went on our honeymoon. The dininng plen is definitely worth it- I booked right through disney. Make sure you tell them it's your honeymoon- they gave us lots of stuff in our package and the maid made us cute little towel animals every day! We stayed at Carribbean beach- we wanted something nice but not too expensive b/c we weren't in the room that much but it was still (part of) our honeymoon!

Re: Disney
we are thinking either contemporary or animal kingdom lodge. Comtemporarys is on the monarail and the renovated rooms are beautiful, animail kingdom as the savannah view which sounds great but ive heard of a lot of problems with check in/transport/rooms tiny and dirty. Its so hard because there are always good and bad reviews for everything.
Did anyone book with a travel agent? Anyone get any upgrades when they got there?

Re: Disney
We also did the Disney HM. It was AMAZING. Disney is not just for kids. We originally booked the Polyneisan and then changed it to the Grand Floridian. Yes, it is expensive but it is also your HM. If you can afford it, do it. The dining plan was 100% worth it. We booked directly thru disney and they treated us super special b/c we were on our HM. We got lots of freebies. FM with any questions you have. There are so many great places to eat and things to do.

Go for the Contemporary and stay in the tower. You will have amazing views of the castle. The dining plan is so worth it, you get more food than you could want, plus you could eat at the most expensive restaurants on the property and save so much money! Some of the dinners we had ran $200 for my family of 3. We paid about $600 for 8 days on the dining plan, so we saved a lot of money. Make sure to make dining reservations before you go, I saw many people who did not make their ressies in advance get turned away at the door because the restaurants were always full. Definitely book thru AAA, you get great packages, plus they give you special gifts on top of that great Disney service! I go to Disney almost every year and I am getting married there this year. Check out allearsnet.com for all the info you will ever need

Re: Disney
FH and I are Disney fanatics! Our HM will be our 4th time in the past two and a half years we've been there. We love it! The deluxe resorts (the contemporary, the polynesian, the grand floridian) are BEAUTIFUL, but if they are out of your price range, Disney has some beautiful moderate resorts (Port Orleans and Coronado Springs). One website that helps me is allearsnet.com. It has EVERYTHING on it! Good luck!
