Disney Cruise??

Hi ladies,

FH and I have an opportunity to go on a disney cruise, through a timeshare, for our honeymoon,
Now, I LOVE Disney, but not sure how thrilled I am with the thought of being on a boat with a lot of children, for our HM.

Anyone have any thoughts and/or experiences to share?

Can you use the timeshare anywhere else? We are using my timeshare for our HM and we are going to Riviera Maya. I am sure you will have fun on the Disney Cruise but you will be spending your HM with a lot of children!

I'd avoid. Most activities are geared towards the little ones.

My mom and dad went on the Disney cruise for their 25th wedding anniversary. They said they hardly even saw a child the entire time. At dinner they were always seated with other couples their age with no children. They said there are SO MANY activities and groups for the kids and for parents to ditch their kids at. Also, they said there are lots of things that are for adults only, restaurants, clubs, etc. that children aren't allowed at. Also, if you go right after your wedding there may not be TOO many children anyways because they are all in school, but if you go on your HM closer to Thanksgiving, then there may be more kids.

I'm a disney timeshare owner and have gone on 2 Disney cruises - one with FH and one with my sister. Yup, there are a lot of kids. However, Disney does things right. You aren't surrounded by them. There was an adult only pool and an adult only beach on their private island. On the days at sea, most of the kids were kept occupied at the other pool doing stuff. I don't think there were any more or less kids than on a Carnival cruise for example.
