Disney (Paris)

Disney (Paris)

I think I remember a lot of you are huge Disney fans, and have some questions... FH & I have decided to spend our last full day in Paris at Euro-Disney... Any suggestions? Must do for a day trip to Disney on our mini-moon? I was super excited to go to the flagship Louis Vuitton, we planned on purchasing my Mon-Monogram Speedy, with my soon to be initials , but they will not ship to NY. I was told we have to purchase in NY. Not the end of the world, but I have a decent collection & wanted that 'special' bag from the flagship store... FH suggested we go to the happiest place (or one of three) on earth ... So I didn't get the bag I wanted but we're going to Euro Disney!

Thanks V! I'm excited a feel like a little girl pumped to go to Disney. This time I won't be disappointed to see that Cinderella's Castle is a gift shop I think it's much smaller since there are only 2 parks & the passes are for both parks with the express access...? How busy can it be on Tuesday in May...? I saw alot of S are honeymooning at Disney in the US so I was hoping there were some suggestions / advice... I'vebeen searching online for the last hour and only found advice on which hotel to stay at, which doesn't help us.

How many days are you spending in Paris?

We've been here for two, and we leave the day after tomorrow..
We spent 3 nights in London before taking the Chunnel here. This is a short trip only a week...

I've been to Paris 5 times, most recently on my honeymoon. There is *so much* to see and do. Unless you are a diehard Disney person you might want to consider not buying tickets in advance. Also, if you plan on doing the Eiffel Tower or going to St.Chappel, I suggest buying your tickets online in advance to avoide the insane lines. The same goes for the London Eye. Have a great time!

I love Paris. We were going to go to Disney but with so much history to learn and visit we decided to pass. I also went to the Louis Vuitton store and I couldn't resist in buying 2 bags. It's not much cheaper there, I think you only save on the taxes. But I needed to go and have my bag as a memory from Paris along of course with all the pictures we took..

We really disn't buy the tickets too far in advance, we bought them at 11pm from the hotel we stayed at for the special discounted price (16 euros less than buying them at the gate)... On Sunday the Eiffel Tower had a 3 hour wait, on Monday it was 20/30 minutes... I guess we got lucky going when we did.

We had SO much fun, and there were barley any lines! The longest we waited was 20 minutes and that was for Star Tours (Star Wars Stimulator)... I am not a fan of Roller Coasters, or any thrill rides... In july of 2009, FH got me to Skydive, so now, I can't really back down to a coaster at Disney, we did them all, and had a ton of fun

I was SO disappointed with Louis in Paris, there is no price difference, at all the cost is higher than the 12% VAT taxes you get back, so it cost the same in Paris as it does in Manhasset, not too big of a deal... but...When we were in Denmark, there was a 20% price difference in Louis Vuitton, based on the Kron, and the VAT...When we were in Italy in September, we 'stole' Gucci, since the price difference 35-40% less...

I was SO disappointed that it wasn't possible to get the only Louis Vuitton Bag, I currently want. I just got a bag 3 months ago for my birthday, and can only justify the mon-monogrammed, since it would have my 'Soon to be Initials' in our wedding colors... again not the end of the world...

ITA..
I went there thinking the price had to be cheaper but no. What ****** was that I wanted to return one here in the City and they wouldn't let me. They only allow exchanges. I was so mad because this is not what I was told in Paris. They said something about the currency exchange..I don't care, I'm showing what I paid in US $, it was already exchange to US plus there's not difference in price but the tax.
Not a happy day for me yesterday.

I thinkDLP is pretty small so you can probably cover it within a day

They have a lot of the same attractions as WDW and DL. I would bolt straight for Phantom Manor (their version of the Haunted Mansion) because that's def, my thing. I have a slight obsession with HM.
They also originated the car stunt show, but I didn't really like that when I saw it at DHS. They ahve 'Temple Du peril' which looks AWESOME.

They have a lot of great rides. Judging by their WDW counterparts I'd recommend:
Space Mountain
Big Thunder Mountain RR
Aerosmith's Rock'n'Rollercoaster
Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
Pirates of the Caribbean
Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast

I would avoid Dumbo. The line is usually insane. Because it's an interval loader with only like 40 riders at a time, the line takes forever and it's not much of a ride. Out of the 6 trips FH and I have taken to WDW, we've ridden Dumbo once, just to ride it, but I would say it's not worth the line unless you really had a dream of riding it.

I would similarly skip Peter Pan's Flight unless the line is short. Even though it's a continuous loader, it seems to ALWAYS have a long line and I really don't think it's anything special.

ANY of the 3D or 4D shows will be awesome. I think they have Honey I shrunk the Audience at DLP.

They also have 'It's a Small World', I'll leave that up to you to decide. :)

Use FastPass whenever possible. If you want tips/advice about that, let me know

ETA: I just read that HOney I Shrunk the Audience was replaced with Captain EO....so I would say YES< go see that!!!! I didn't get to go to Disney until I was 20 years old so I completely missed out on Captain EO and I love MJ.

That's not a good feeling... Which bags did you get? And a tip, most high end product stores do not allow returns, consider yourself lucky to have gotten offered an exchange. I got the LV Galleria, for my b-day, and the Fendi Mia Shopper. Literally 5 minutes after walking out of Fendi, I was like why did I get that? I walked back in and was informed that they do not take bags bag... I now, dig it, but def do not NEED a new bag for a while... only the mon -monogram

We went on Tuesday, it was SO much fun, and we did Phantom Manor 1st, lol... Almost all the rides you suggested, except Big Thunder Mountain, since it was closed,. and we didn't do the 3D or 4D shows We had a great time regardless tho.
