We're thinking of doing a 2 part honeymoon: Disney for the first couple of days and then our cruise leaves from Miami. My question is....is there an inexpensive way to get from Disney to the Port of Miami??? I have no idea what the best way to go about this is....a taxi, a rental, a bus???
Does anyone know??

I would say the cheapest way would be to rent a car...a taxi is probablly going to be very expensive..

Disney to Miami is over 3 hrs...so taxi would be VERY expensive. I would rent a car or look into a charter flight into MIA airport.

agreed...its like a 3 and a 1/2 hour trip from Orlando to Miami so I'd say a taxi is out...I know you can rent cars at Disney World but I'd imagine you might have to return it at the Miami airport rather then somewhere in the city...that would mean you'd also have to tack on a cab ride to the port...but since you're returning the car the same day it shouldn't be all that expensive...HTH

Car rentals are relatively inexpensive down there, especially if you use Travelocity or something like that.

Hi! We are doing 5 nights in Disney and then a 7 night Carnival cruise out of Tampa. After our stay in Disney we are renting a car from Orlando airport (Disney offers free shuttle to Orlando airport) and then driving to Tampa airport to drop off the car. Carnival offers a shuttle from there for a nominal fee.
The good thing is that I think in Florida you don't have to drop off the car in the same place you picked it up from (which is not the case in many states without a big fee).

Did you look into flights? Since both places are served by a lot of low cost airlines, you might be able to get a great rate!
ETA: Southwest has flights as low as $49 between Orlando and Ft Lauderdale but, their schedule is only through March right now.
Spirit has flights for $49 one way between Orlando and Fort Lauderdale next June.
