Disney Question...

Ok Ladies, we are going to Disney on Thursday to chaperone a trip for our high school!! My question is this. I have been doing SO well on my nutrition plan and am really hoping to stick to it as best as I can! I already purchased my ready to eat/drink protein drinks and bars but I am curious about what the food is like at the park. Is is only burgers and hot dogs? Are their restaurants where I will be able to get chicken and salads and stuff? I know I may sound lame but wil just about 2 months left I am not playing around!! Please help!

the regular restaurants have salads, but Im not sure about their dressing options... the little stands and smaller restaurants dont really have many options...

here is a list of the menus for each eatery...

I haven't been there recently but I know there are like real restaurants you can eat at but the carts around the parks, are very sugary...lol

Most of the 'fast service' restaurants in the parks (the ones where you order your food and then go to the counter and pick it up) offer healthy menu choices such as salads, grilled chicken wraps, etc.

Disney has definitely changed their quick service menus: they now serve the burgers on whole grain buns and portions are smaller.

Enjoy the trip!

Re: Disney Question...

I was just in Disney World for my 30th bday two weeks ago and they are AMAZING about catering to special diets and will modify anything in any way to fit your needs. FH was on a strict no lactose and no gluten diet while we were there and the chefs came out to speak with us everywhere.

I didn't gain an ounce after our whole visit. There are fruit cups and healthy choices everywhere. You shouldn't have any problems. Have fun!
