Has anyone here had a disney wedding or been to one? We are considering the possibility of doing a smaller Disney wedding in Orlando as apposed to a 200+ guest wedding here in LI.
Trying to crunch numbers on it now, we think it's doable, just wondering other people's opinions.
Thanks!

Re: Disney Wedding
I have never been to a Disney wedding but I am sure it would be great.
It would be like any other destination wedding. You have to expect that alot of people may not be able to attend because of money. But I don't think that alone should be a reason not to do it. You do not have to have 200 people around you to have an amazing wedding!

Re: Disney Wedding
My FH and I flirted with that idea for a little....but its WAY too expensive. We rather spend that same amount of money on a wedding here with ALL our friends and family, instead of severely cutting the guest list and spending pretty much the same.
We plan to do our 5 or 10 year anniversary in Disney...just a small renewal of our vows or something.
But, if you have the $$$ go for it!

Re: Disney Wedding
They have a small wedding gazebo and lots and lots of options to choose from, but it is expensive.. especially who you are flying down.
I think that weddings in the Caribbean or Mexico are more affordable, but you are paying for the Disney quality production there!!
Good luck!!

Re: Disney Wedding
My friend did this last year- December I believe. They had the reception at The Boardwalk. I can ask her if you have any questions.

Re: Disney Wedding
I went to one last year. It was very nice but I know it was pricey for what you get, but if Disney is your thing which it was for this bride why not! Her ceremony was at the beachclub in the gazebo. After that we walked around the boardwalk to a large gazebo area overlooking the water for the cocktail hour. The food was very limited (not what we are used to on LI). Then we walked to the Boardwalk hotel for the reception. After that night a bus took us to a private desert party in Epcot and to see the fireworks.

Re: Disney Wedding
We thought about it since we only live an hour from Disney, but when we started looking at the numbers....it came out to about the same if not more...and we would make a lot less since not as many people would be there! We decided against it

I watched that on TV and they look spectacular. I don't know anything about the process but its Disney, you can do anything and it will be flawless.
