DisneyLand or Disneyworld????

what would you choose? maybe possible honeymoon ? wedding getting expensive so FH suggested!!!

I have been to both and would definitely choose Disneyworld. For a short trip either is great, but Disneyland has far fewer parks and attractions in the area than Disneyworld.

Well I grew up in Florida so I love Disneyworld! I've never been to Disneyland but I know many many people who have been to both and everyone seems to like Disneyworld better. Its supposed to be bigger, more things to do, and plus you have all the other parks that you can go to also. I would go with Disneyworld!

Never been to Disneyland either, but I heard Disneyworld is sooo much better. I haven't been there in 10 years. You'll have sooo much fun!

We are going to Disneyworld for our honeymoon

However...the price all depends on where you wanna stay, because we thought it would be cheaper too..and because we want to stay at one of the more expensive resorts (FH loves it there)...it is costing us over 4G just for our resort!

They have alot of really nice hotels and resorts for cheaper though, and tons of stuff to do in Disney!

A looooooooong time ago I stayed at the Grand Floridian and the Dolphin. 10 years ago the Grand FLoridian was amazing..not sure how it has kept up over the years...but it is one of the hotels along the monorail to the magic kingdom and the ferry goes directly there as well.

So much to do at Disney World. Highly recommend!!

It really depends on if you want to be at Disney your entire honeymoon. Disneyworld is much bigger - 4 parks, waterparks, many many resorts and so much more. Disneyland only has two parks and not as many resorts. Also the downtown area is much smaller in Disneyland. Disneyworld is also much more spreadout in the fact that you have to take a car or a bus to each different park/attraction where as in DIsneyland everything is basically walking distance. When comparing Magic Kindom park to Magic Kindom park, I definitely like Disneyland better - more spread out, less crowded and some of the rides either are not in Disneyworld or are better than DIsneyworld. When comparing DIsneyland to Disneyworld, I would have to say Disneyworld is better because there is so much more to do!

However, if you do not want to spead your entire honeymoon in Disney, I would recommend Disneyland for a few days and then travel in Cali - San Diego, LA, wine country - it is all beautiful!!

We're going to Disney for our honeymoon. If you want to save money I would suggest going with the middle tier hotels. They are very nice and not too expensive. Also we save a thousand dollars b/c fh has AAA. If you don't have it you should get it, the cost of the membership will disappear w/ the savings you are getting.

We are going to Disneyworld on our Honeymoon. We are staying at Port Orleans French Quarters for 10 days, package includes park hopper, water parks and dining. Total wih everything is $3700

I have been to both and I prefer Disney World... you can really see the difference in the Magic Kingdom- so much more room and better lit at night.

i was just going to say the same thing. FH and I decided to go to Disneyworld for our HM and were shocked when we found out it is going to cost us $9000!! We are getting a meal plan and staying at the Grand Floridian but we could have def. went to Sandals or something for waaayyy cheaper. Def go to their site and it shows you all of the resorts in their different price categories (deluxe, moderate and value) You can also order a video that shows all the resorts and stuff. any questions just ask, FH and I are nuts about this. LOL

That's how much we're paying for 10 days traveling among the greek islands in mid june!

If that's the $$ range over there, that doesn't sound like it would be more budget friendly than more exotic locales....

I've been to DisneyWorld several times, as I have DisneyLand..

I think that DisneyWorld is much bigger..
but DisneyLand is the original.. and I think they have some of the better rides there.. their Pirates of the Carribean BLOWS away DisneyWorlds..haha..just as an example.

In DisneyLand, you do have alot more to do in Cali.. I personally LOVE LOVE Cali and the area.
SOOOO much to do.
You have Disney, Universal Studios (where they actually film shows/movies) you can tour the lot, California Adventure, Knotts Berry Farm (another theme park that's awesome!)
Plus you are only like a 45 min drive to LA/beverly Hills(go to the IVY for dinner! If you like to Celeb watch ;)/West Hollywod..you can go to Grauman's Chinese Theatre, Madame Tussauds..

You can drive to San Diego..which is A MUST!
Also drive along Pacific Coast Highway and go to Laguna Beach...breathtaking views!

If you want to do just theme parks then you can do FL(and i HIGHLY recommend the HYATT Grand Cypress..AMAZING POOLS, & Mudslides!!) if you want to do more then def Cali!
