Anyone who's been to both, can you tell me what the differences are?
And those who have been to Disneyland (in CA), what's it like?? My TA is trying to talk me out of it.
TIA

Re: Disneyland VS Disneyworld
Disneyland in CA is much much smaller! I was there in January, and we literally covered most of the main park on a twilight ticket. Don't get me wrong - its still Disney, and its nice, but probably not worth the ticket across country if that's all you are going to be doing out there.

Walt Disney World has a lot of attractions outside of the Magic Kingdom such as Epcot Center and other parks where Disneyland does not. I think FL has a lot more to offer families with all ages instead of just the little ones. I personally didnt care for Magic Kingdom, but much preferred Epcot.

Actually, Disneyland is now two parks. I'd still say that Disney World is better - there's definitely more to do. But if you're planning a trip to CA, Disneyland is an excellent way to kill a day or two.

They say Disneyland can fit into the Magic Kingdom's parking lot...I've been to WDW MANY MANY times, but haven't been to DL...I LOVE going down to WDW--Epcot is my favorite...especially eating and drinking our way around the 'world'!!!

Re: Disneyland VS Disneyworld
Well being that I was born and raised in CA I practically lived at Disneyland I had the monthly pass and went approx 24 times a year and loved it. Then 9 years ago my now hubby took me to Disney World and that was it for me it made Disneyland look like the slums. If you have a choice I would definitely go with Disney World it is amazing and the park itself is so pretty and there are so many other incredible things to do there. After going there and then going back to CA Disneyland just was no comparison.

Disneyland *BITES* if you compare it to WDW! It's TINY!
But if you are Disney-lovin' purist there's the draw of walking down the same Main Street that Walt himself strolled ...
We did it as part of our HM (we started at WDW then flew out west).

Yeah that is the ONLY reason I want to go to DL. WDW has many of the same attractions and many many more, more parks, more hotels, etc. If I had a choice, I would definitely choose WDW. 's definitely more of a destination, wheras DL is a day trip if you are already in LA.

Re: Disneyland VS Disneyworld
I have been to both and while I did like DL, I felt like it was more like a really nice amusement park, while DW was an experience.
If you are in Cali, DL is a nice day trip, but I wouldn't fly across the country to see it.

Re: Disneyland VS Disneyworld
my experience is that disneyworld blows disneyland out of the water.
disneyland was a huge disapointment comparitavely.
if you want something like that in Cali - do universal studios - so much better than disneyland. IMO
