Disposable Cameras
What is everyone doing? I am so undecided about this. I just don't know if it is a waste, pictures too dark, pics of the ceiling, floor back of peoples heads. You know what I mean. I need some opinions......

Re: Disposable Cameras
I'm sure a lot of the photos probably don't come out too well, but I think its a nice thing to do and you never know when someone might capture something that nobody else did. I'm planning on doing it.

Re: Disposable Cameras
Lori I'm going to do them too. What the heck at this point! When I'm at weddings I really do try and use the camera and take pictures of everyone at the table. Unfortunately, I can only find the 27 exp and I'd rather have fewer pictures...but oh well.
I think I'm going to order through ebay. They're about 3.69 for the wedding ones...the expiration dates say 7/2004 so they should be ok.

Re: Disposable Cameras
I think I saw ones on the knot that had 15 exposures but they were around 7.00 each. I'm starting to feel like I should do this. I know I'll be sorry if I don't.

Re: Disposable Cameras
try bjs...I got mine there...but kodak did say they weren't going to make anymore 15 exp for weddings...but they had sent a last (apparantly big supply) to BJs...I was happy I did it...I got a lot of pictures of guests...some who are not in any of our wedding pictures really...
I also got some hillarious ones of guests joking around...
plus they are great to have before your proofs come in

Re: Disposable Cameras
If you're looking to cut down cost on cameras, an idea might be to decorate the kodak disposables. Michael's has tons of bridal stickers that you could put on them... It's something I'll be looking into...

Re: Disposable Cameras
I don't think Im going to do this. I already have 2 photographers who will take a bunch of photos plus a number of people who will bring their own camera.I just went to a wedding where there were NO disposables and there were still plenty of people snapping pics. Dispsposables would have just added into the chaos.

Re: Disposable Cameras
I was going to get the disposable cameras for my wedding, but I never got around to buying them, so I just forgot about it. I'm glad we didn't, people had their own cameras, and several gave us copies of their pictures. People also took digital pictures and e-mailed them to us and my parents. So, we have our proofs and tons of pictures to look at now. I am glad now that we didn't have to develop tons of film, and who knows what the results would have been.

Re: Disposable Cameras
We had them at our wedding and they worked out great. We got a lot of great pictures of family and friends that my photographer didn't get. Some of my friends even staged funny events for the pictures.

Re: Disposable Cameras
I like the idea of the cameras. I havent' ordered them yet, but I know that they have always been a lot of fun at other weddings.

Re: Disposable Cameras
Mrs2Be- what I am going to do is to take about 12 pictures in the dark ie waste 12 pictures of the 27. I know that sounds weird, but I only want 15 per camera, and you don't pay for the exposures that they can't develop. I feel if there are 27 pics in the camera, toward the end people will just use up the film taking pics of anything!

Re: Disposable Cameras
jpsgirl, that's a good idea. I didn't realize they didn't charge you for that...I don't think we have a choice...I can only find the 27exp.
When it gets closer I'm also going to start saving coupons from CVS, etc. on development. This way it cuts down the cost on that as well...
