Disposable Cameras on tables?

Are any of you putting cameras out?

The lowest price I've found per camera is 2.99 at theknot.com

Anyone find better?

i was planning on it... but I decided against it because theres no guarantee that every table will take all the pics... and i dont want to pay to have them developed... lol... im a cheapass!

don't do it ... it's a waste of money in my opinion. I've been to plenty of weddings with cameras on the table and have never taken one picture with them! They cost about $12 per table (for very basic cameras with no personalizeation ... that includes developing the film)

instead, we're doing something slightly more expensive but that ends up getting all the pictures from people's regular digital cameras (just the last 8 hours worth of pics) ... it's called Canditto ... check them out at canditto.com ...

pictures are the most important keepsake to us so it's worth it for us

That is flipping awesome!!!

ITA that I think the disposables aren't worth it. Half the time the pictures are crappy or people take them home and then you also have to pay to have them developed. I love the canditto idea though! Or if that's too pricey, just set up a snapfish account or something like that and leave out business cards with info for the guests on where they can upload photos.

ETA: Holy hell! When you said slightly more expensive i was thinking like $250, but $450, I can't swing it!

I want to do something like this too. I have never seen people use the disposable cameras so I'm torn over whether I should use them or not.

My idea was to create a Shutterfly account where guests can upload pictures they took with their cameras. This way, the pictures can be shared with us and other guests. I'd have a little DYI project on my hands to make cards/tags with a cute saying (because I'm a dork) and the account website & password

I think it's a cute idea & a good way of getting those random shots without sprining for a photobooth or wasting the money on unused disposables

oh wow - i forgot that the price went up to $450 ... when i booked it, they had a discounted price of $250 until mid-december. i think the people may be willing to work with you though ... can't hurt to try for a discount!

Oh man! You got a great deal!!! Yeah $250 is feasible, but there's no way I can double that. LOL! Hmm maybe I will see what they have to say.

I was considering doing this until three of my girlfriends who are married said it was waste of money. One told me she didn't even bother to get them developed and another told me that people didn't even return them to the table,,,

We didn't do the disposable cameras. In this day and age everyone has a digital camera and so many people took pictures. I had pictures uploaded and sent to me by so many people the day after the wedding. It was free and easy that way!
