disposable cameras real cheap and an idea.....

I stopped in Staples tonight to pick up a few things, and as I was standing on the checkout line, I noticed they have disposable cameras on sale. They are not Kodak or Fugi - they are some no-name like Jazz or something. However, the price caught my attention - buy 3 or more and they are only $3.33 each for cameras with 27 exposures. I checked the expiration date and it was Nov. 2003, so I bought 3.

I am not using them at the reception, rather, we are going to throw a few in our luggage while we are honeymooning in Spain for two weeks so at certain times we don't have to lug our huge digital camera or other real equipment around. It's just an idea I thought I'd pass on to you ladies.

be careful

sometimes these cheaper cameras use film that has already expired...

I heard a story of a girl who only had 20 pics come out from 20 (24EXP) cameras

I wouldn't depend on those cameras for honeymoon pictures. What if they don't work, or the pictures are horrible. You'll be so disappointed. Maybe you should buy a couple extra, and try them out first to make sure they work. Just a suggestion! Good luck!

They work great

I am a picture nut. When I saw them at Staples I couldn't pass them up. We took a few with us to Aruba and they came out fine. I was a little worried first so I used one beforehand as a trial. No need to worry they work great.

some other thoughts

The expiration date was fine on them - Nov. 2003. I will use one this weekend at a party to test it out, then go from there. Thanks egreen3792 for your response on them, I feel better now.

I will not use them as my only source for honeymoon pictures. I just thought having a few extra disposables when we went out on a night on the town would be better than having to worry about our real camera.

yabbobay - I won't be able to make it to the UW LI gathering at Fridays (I post over there as May 11, 2002 Bride), but I sure will post about the wedding and honeymoon when I return!!
