Are you using them? I was thinking no - not worth the $$$, but then suddenly FH expressed an interest in using them. Of course! So what are your thoughts - are they worth the $$$?

Re: Disposable Cameras - Yey or Ney
Yeah we're using them. After getting them I was getting nervous thinking it wasn't a smart idea because noone will take pics or the pics will be of something ridiculous or they'll be blurry etc etc... but now after reading this post... Table Camera Scavenger Hunt I'm really excited!!!

I had them. they're not the best quality in the world, but honestly, when you think of how little it costs in the grand scheme of wedding expenses, worth it!
we got some really great shots of us and our guests.

Re: Disposable Cameras - Yey or Ney
Even though everyone and their mother had digital cameras, I have gotten very few sent to me.
The table cameras - expect half of them to be stupid - but the other half...really funny and some great 'couple' shots.
If you want shots of your guests enjoying themselves or whatever, I'd do them. I didn't do a scavenger hunt, just left them on each table and most tables took them and shot photos.
My advice is have your MOH take them home with her! (thanks trish!)

When I go to weddings I am always the one using it to make sure I get lots of shots for the bride and groom. I hope that everyone of my tables has 'one of me' so I get the same in return. A few friends that are already married said it was worth it. Every picture wont be perfect but you do get some pretty good candid shots and table shots. HTH

Cool! I'll have to check em out! That is a great deal.
Did anyone see the King of Queens when doug took inappropriate pics of his 'part' with the table cameras? That is so FH's friends - actually his groomsmen in particular

Re: Disposable Cameras - Yey or Ney
Here's a response I just posted when another bride-to-be asked: (Also, I know almost all my guests had digital cameras, but only 2 have shared pictures with us, even when we have asked.)
There was a bride that researched all different kinds of cameras. SHe said the fuji celebration pack was best. (4 in a pack) We went with those. The biggest complaint I heard from past brides was people forgetting the flash. We put a label, right on the back, where you need to put your face for the shot: 'PLEASE TURN FLASH ON'
SO far, we got 5 cameras developed and they turned out nice. Especially considering we got the professional proofs and we are missing many guests in those shots. The table cameras reminded us who was there and what they were wearing. (I barely remember anything from the night, because it went so quick.)
Granted, most cameras were not totally used. So, we brought a bunch on the honeymoon. It was the best idea we had! Well, the best idea I can share with you about the honeymoon.
And, we got them developed at walmart with the CD you can download to your computer. This way we could share the pictures with everybody, even OOT guests. Each roll has cost between $7-$7.50 with the developing and the CD.

I'm using them b/c my family is known for getting the odd ball shots that most photographers won't see/get.

Yes... but we LOVE pictures!! We're going to get half black & white and half regular. I know our guests will take some great ones.

That's what we did. Although we had 25 tables, and did maybe 5 black and white cameras. Only one of them was used. I have two weddings to go to in June and will probably bring those along with my digital, so I can get some nice black and whites of the bride and groom

I had too many friends tell me that they were not worth it, so we skipped them. They got alot of doubles and shots of glasses on the table, the floor, not alot worth keeping.

Re: Disposable Cameras - Yey or Ney
At first I was against them b/c we had them years ago at my Bat Mitzvah and most of them were horrible. My mom really wanted disposable cameras and bought them so we had them. We had a few extra cameras. I made lists of must take photos and a few of my mom's friends graciously agreed to take them. The disposable camera pics turned out great. I realy liked them, especially some of the ones my mom's friends took. Even if you only get a few cameras, I think they're worth it.

Agreed! I know too many brides who have had them and not one has ever told me it was a good idea or the pictures came out great. They all say the same thing....biggest waste of $ not only to buy the cameras but have them developed...you maybe get half a roll of good shots from each camera..blurry or blank shots or just shots you do not want/need. I think they are a waste...IMO.

I agree....whenever we've seen them at weddings, they aren't getting touched and the shots taken are lame....multiples of everyone sitting there at the table cheesing really really bad.
