I was thinking of having disposible cameras on the tables at our reception. Is it still a popular thing to do? And do the pictures come out ok, since it may be dark in the reception hall? Let me know what you think.

Re: Disposible cameras
We had regular Kodak disposable cameras on the table. In all honesty, I am so glad we did this. We have some really great pictures that we wouldn't have had otherwise.

Re: Disposible cameras
We had some no-name cameras on our tables. Some people had fun with them and we got some cute photos (althought the quality really isn't that great), while some of the cameras only had like 5 pictures taken on them. I think I'm glad we did them because they were cheap to buy, but weren't really cheap to develop. If you've got the $, I say go for it

I am doing them. Just go to exclusively weddings or something. They are only about 5 bucks!

I am doing them. I would suggest get regular one's instead of the wedding one's. They are supposed to be better quality. I am going to stick with FUJI or Kodak

We didn't do them. In some ways we wish we did and in some ways we are relieved we didn't have to deal with them.

I'm using them also. I got a great price for them on ebay.

Re: Disposible cameras
I work in a photo lab so here is some helpful advice:
Try to get some kind of name brand camera. Even a CVS or Eckerd camera is better than the wedding ones. And you can get them for like 5 bucks when they are on sale or at Target or Walmart or something. The wedding cameras are cameras that photo labs send back to be recycled. They then take no name film, load it into the camera and then tape the camera back up again. So you are basically using old kodak and fuji cameras anyway. They aren't horrible, but the others are a bit better.

Re: Disposible cameras
Alot of people that I know that did this felt that they had to spend a ton of money on developing the pictures and not that many good pics.
