Dissapointing Bachlorette 'Dinner'

Dissapointing Bachlorette 'Dinner'

Well thank you for these boards, because I can vent and no one in my inner circle will know.

I am just so mad, hurt, upset. I had my 'dinner' last night. Mind you the restaurant was good Baroanda (2nd & 78th) but I just expected more from my BP. If it wasn't for my one BM, I wouldn't of had anything. Afterwards they asked me what I wanted to do, so we went to this club called Vudu, we walk in the music is good and the 5 of them are sitting on their asses. I was in the place about 10 minutes and one of my BM asks do you want to leave. She suggested a bar across the way and I was like -- NO. Obviously they weren't impressed with the place, I JUST WANTED TO DANCE. It was the first time the entire night it felt like a party. When she asked me again, I just said let's go and I was on a 12:30 train back to LI.

I have gone above and beyond and planned all the get togethers for some of these girls including my married sister. Who is my matron of honor and hasn't done crap. My perspective on these people have made me realize how SELFISH people really are. After my wedding things are going to be very different for me.

I am so sorry that you are so hurt and feeling so bad! But you know, doing to other what one would like to get does not always work. I am sure that you know your situation better than any of us, but also consider that may be your BP girls are not party people, or simply did not know what to do to make you happy. Obviously, they did not feel in the same mood than you, and that is a shame since they were suppose to organize a party night for you. In any case, I hope you feel better.

That sounds familiar. I was in a friends bridal party a few years ago. The bride told everyone places she wanted to go to. But, of course some of the other girls had a new place in the city in mind. So we travel the hour into the city. (no biggie we were in a limo) We waited in the waiting area to get in for about 45 min. We get in it's very posh & city snobs. We finally found a place to sit. Drinks were ordered. One of the girls who wanted to go to this place comes back from the bathroom saying 'they're doing coke in the bathroom lets go'. So 3 hours WASTED!!!! We ended up going Bell Blvd & having a good time. It just ****s that we didn't do what the bride wanted to do all along!!

Sorry yours wasn't so great. Your & your 'fun' friends are more then welcome to come to mine on the 10th!

I don't want to fuel your anger, but your situation sounds EXACTLY what happened to me for my first wedding. I told my MOH that I wanted to go to a particular place in Long Island and she and the other girls reluctantly went along. They didn't like the place because they didn't care for the music. From what I can remember (back in 1992), when we got there, they sat on their asses with pusses on their faces, so I suggested that we go home. I never forgot how selfish I felt they were.

Ladies - Name the time and the place. I want to boogie! I told the girls at work and they are planning a Happy Hour bacholorette party. Hopefully, my feet will be dancing at that one. Thanks for listening and everyone have FUN. CAUSE you know we ALL DESERVE IT.
