i know me too... when we were in aruba in feb. my fh wanted to book the honeymoon and i was like nooo wait.. we are here now lets go somewhere else... so we didnt but he loves loves loves aruba... i think it depends on what type of trip you want.. i think aruba is a great choice.. its always perfect weather.. i would just maybe look into other hotels.. i didnt hear anything bad about the divi.. its just a bit far from the main hotels and town..

I love the Divi! Friends of ours suggested we go and we were sooo happy we did! It was one of the nicest resorts we have stayed in. Its not as big so it doesnt have a million things going on all of the time like some hi-rise hotels do, but that is what we loved the most. There were a lot of honeymooners there and it was so personalized. The bartenders and waiters knew us by our 2nd or 3rd day there and it was just nice to be able to not have to fight for a chair on the beach or at the pool. I can do nothing but rave about the Divi!

07er crashing.....We are going to the Divi Aruba for our honeymoon in June. I've heard great things about it and my cousin who is a travel agent looked it up on her website that is kind of like tripadvisor and she said there was nothing bad and that she highly recommends it. I just thought it was beautiful and for the honeymoon we thought that the all inclusive plan was best - especially if you plan on drinking.

If we hadn't vacationed already in Aruba... we would SO do it for our HM =) Aruba was our best vacation!

I didn't stay at the Divi but know someone who did...and said it was very nice! We stayed at the Renaissance and LOVED it. Nice choice in HM locations!

I absolutely love Aruba. . .it is amazing! In fact, I wanted to go there for my HM, however, we have been there 4 times! The Divi is nice, but there are tons of places to go out to eat. . .and we stayed at the Tamijin--which connects w/ the Divi and the restaurants are limited--I think there're only 3 really good places to eat. If you don't mind that then. . . it is the perfect HM place! All drinks included can't go wrong w/ that!

**Also, I haven't been on here in sooo long---way busy but whenver I get the chance I took a bunch a pix at the Divi and I will share them w/ you --I'll add them to my Aruba album!

Re: Divi Aruba

I stayed at the Divi Tamarijn and LOVED IT! we had the greatest time and they had pretty good food!!

I know everyone says NOT to do the A/I but in my opinion it is totally worth it!!!! We ate breakfast and lunch every day at the hotel and drank A LOT all day long. Then, on some nights we went out to eat anyway! but we wouldn't get too many drinks and just load up on drinks when we got back to the hotel!

Honestly, if we return to Aruba the only place we would leave the A/I for would be El Gaucho for one night. We saved SO MUCH MONEY doing the A/I -just on drinks alone! Also, on some nights we wre so tired from all the day activities, it was nice NOT to have to leave the resort to eat!

This is JMO - FH and I are VERY laid back on vacation and really enjoy A/I!

Let me know if you have any specific questions!

Yes I did. I wouldnt stay at the Tamarajin...When we were there it seemed like it was a lot of families there....the Divi was more private, but we did go to the Tamarajin a few times to eat and do some water sports so we took advantage of the use of both hotels. I would never not take the AI package at any hotel in the caribbean. I think it saves so much money spending the money ahead of time and not having to worry about food or drinks during the day. We would easily spend $100/day on drinks so that adds up over a week or two!

good point about the Tamarijn! It was our first 'tropical' vacation and I was just happy to be away - i completely forgot all the families there. . . we had a good time - but not for a HM, actually we hope to go back one day with our family!
