I am so sorry. It was easy for me because I actually despised who I was divorcing. I knew I was doing the right thing when I filed.

Only you will know if it's right for you or not. Meanwhile, yes, please try to talk to some support groups. I had my former boss and my co-worker who were very helpful. They did not tell me to go after everything he had. They told me down to Earth advise that they own lawyers had told them.

Honestly, it's really hard to go through it.

I did and I was the one filing. You have resentment for the 'wasted time' you spend with that person. Yet, you want it to be over asap so you can move on.

Yes, you will have most likely ups and downs during the process.

My best advise: Hang in there. Count your losses (you will have some), limit the damage (financially) and move on.

Don't fight over a $600 fridge (that only $300 each).
