Divorced and Remarried Parents on Invitations

FH's parents are divorced and his mom and remarried.....he wants his dad, step dad and mom on the invitation.

Doesn't that seem like too many names? 'Mr. John Smith & Mr. & Mrs. John Doe'

Anyone else dealing with something like this??

We are! FH has two sets of parents and we are probably putting all 6 parents on the invitation since everyone is contributing.

Mr. & Mrs. Bride parents
Mr & Mrs. Groom dad and step mom
Mrs. & Mrs. Groom Step dad and mom

I haven't started to do invitations yet but have seen it before and think it looks fine with a lot of names. And we don't want anyone that is contributing to feel left out!

I guess I wasn't following proper etiquette but think we'll be having at least 3 lines of parents names, whether or not we include step parents....

Cordelia
to
Fred
son of
Mrs. Alice (New last Name) and Mr. His Dad's name

I totally believe that you can word things however you like and however you think is most appropriate, I always like to know the 'etiquette' regardless. But, then again, every situation is so unique! This is great for envelope addressing and all those headaches too, ugh.

This was a big problem for us. My mom blew a gasket when i told her I was just going to word it ' Bride and Groom along with their parents' So now we have thre lines of names in my invitation. Just think of it this way, it is just paper and it will get thrown out. My invitation isin my photos if you want to see it.
