For those of you who's parents are divorced, but neither remarried , how do you plan on wording your invites, providing your including their names on it?
& if your in my shoes too what if your fh parents are divorced, BUT they both remarried.
I cant do Mrs & Mrs so & so request the honor
& I cant do son of Mrs & Mrs..
Im gonna need a notebook for my invites,

Re: Divorced Parents
My parents are divorced and they're both remarried. My invites will look like this:
Mr. Father & Mrs. Mother Request the blah, blah of Me and FH Son of Mr & Mrs. FILs
If you put their names on separate lines then it's supposed to indicate that they're divorced.

Re: Divorced Parents
We're simply putting 'together with our parents' other wise it would never fit on the invitation because both my sets of parents and his parents are helping to pay...
not that whose paying matters...that's just the way we're doing it on ours...plus our invitation doesn't have much room for wording

My parents are not paying for our wedding & neither are his , but IMO, I dont wanna go that proper way route so to speak , I would feel its dissrespectful not to have their names on the invites, they did give us breath.. & Even though its our day , i just feel who cares who pays , they are our parents ,, Again jmo,,

i totally know what you mean...the only reason we're going it that way is because my parents hate each other and if my mom saw my dad's name on the invite she'd flip...that plus if i put my mom and step-dad before my dad and step-mom i'll hear it from my dad and if i did it reverse i'd hear it from my mom...so for me..it was really the only way to go

yea i hear ya, ... My parents are not remarried , & my mom is like , your not putting mR & mRs. I want Mr so & so , & Mrs so & so , meanwhile she still has the last name, silly, but correct i guess.
sorry mommy , ( she is on her sometimes , xoxoxo)

if it makes everyone happy to have their names on two separate lines then who are we to argue?..its such a minor thing in the overall wedding stuff and not worth getting into heated discussions with them over...
we love our mommies!

Re: Divorced Parents
My parents are divorced and both remarried, but my mom is now seperated from my stepfather. FH's parents are married. If I put there names I wouldn't know how to do it, so 'together with our parents' was really the only route to go ! ! !

Re: Divorced Parents
FH's parents are divorced. Mom is in long term relationship (8years) Dad is remarried. We will word as follows:
Gabrielle ***** Daughter of Constance **** and John smith son of Jack smith and Suzanne smith
Since John's parents still have the same last name we listed them seperately. By writing son of we avoided the whole ugly step-parent wording issue.

Re: Divorced Parents
My parents are divorced and so are FH's, but we are not including them on the invites since this is a second marriage. His mom is the only onoe who remarried. How about this:
Christine Wilson Daughter of Mr. John Wilson and Ms. Valerie Johnson and Robert Jones son of Mr. Wayne Jones and Mrs. Harriet Carter blah blah blah

Re: Divorced Parents
My parents are divorced but really good friends, i think they are going to let me just say Mr. and Mrs. Dads name and Moms name, just for simplicity and stuff...I dunno...
