DIY

Hi Everyone, I am going to attempt to do my own pocket fold invitations. I want to make 7x7 square invites. But, I have no idea where to buy the paper to actually make the pocketfold myself. Any ideas??? or am i just crazy for doing this??? TIA!!

look at AC Moore or Michaels.. you might have to find paper and have them cut it down to size

Hello!

Your not crazy! my FH and I are doing 1/2 professional and 1/2 diy... you see I didn't want to print out the invites because I wanted them professionally printed withe the raised wording and stuff...

But we bought pocketfolds to glue the invites into... 7x7 pocketfolds. We bought them online from Paper Presentation... but if you want to see the quality they have a store downtown in Manhatten on 18th street...

Let me know if you need any information...

You can also get one of those paper cutters from staples or something to cut all your paper down to the correct size...they sell cheap ones. I am planning on getting one to cut cards out for my favors.

Search online, you'll find the best prices for paper. However, if you want 7'x7' pocketfolds, I noticed today (from a link on Weddingbee) that Cards and Pockets has discontinued their pocketfold in that size, and they're very cheap. Go! Look! They're probably cheaper than making them yourself, and so much easier.

I've seen them on other sites too--I really don't think it's worth all the effort, but I have seen brides on the Knot who have done it. Google 'pocketfold' or 'cardstock,' or search on the Knot.

After making my own STDs, I decided I didn't want to DIY my invites at all. Since we're only having 50, it's not that expensive, about $100 more than my DIY plan. My time is worth that $100!

Good luck!
