has anyone taken DIY bpics? was it worth it? did they come out good even without the pro photographer?

If you know what you're doing with a camera and you have a good camera/tripod and you have good editing skills you could probably do a decent job by yourself.
I dunno...I have a degree in photography and I still wouldn't do it myself. Is that weird? I can't afford them now so I plan to do them for our one year anniversary.

i think i'd rather save the few hundred dollars on the photographer and just have a friend take the pics or whatnot ... i just have no idea WHERE we'd do that lol

FSIL is having a photographer friend do her b-pics. She also did her e-pics and they came out great. In fact, you might have more fun and be more comfortable if you had a friend do it.
You could rent a hotel room for the night? It'd still be cheaper than booking with a photog!
