DIY-candle centerpieces

DIY-candle centerpieces

So I really want to do my own cp's. I already found everything I need and priced them out but I have a question...I'm doing floating candles in a big glass bowl with rose petals floating throughtout on top of a round mirror. Do you think i should ask the catering hall to set them up for me or the florist or should I do it myself?

The problem is that each bowl needs to be filled with water. Also, should the water be cold or room temp?

I'm so overwhelmed but the florist wants to charge WAY too much money to do our cp's and i'm trying to save $$

from what i understand, most (if not all) rh have bridal attendants/assistants or md to help you set things up. another thought would be to have your doc take care of that (if you're going to have one)

Our hall actually has someone 'assigned' to us all day to help us out. If your hall doesn't, just ask a trusted friend to help make sure that everything is put together correctly. We are also doing our own centerpieces so what we are doing is setting them up at home the way we want them way before the wwedding date and then taking several photos. We will print them and then hand them along with carefully detailed instructions to whoever is helping us set up so they don't have to guess what we want.

Since we want to put colored water in our vases, we are coloring it ahead of time and transporting it in old gallon water jars. We will have all the frame sin one box labeled FRAMES, the water in another box labeled WATER, etc.

I know its sounds silly but believe me they appreciate the straightforwardness. NO catering hall wants to deal with a sobbing bride on her wedding day if things turn out wrong.
