I want to make my own card box - but i only want to do one box - not a stack of boxes
What size should i make the box? And what is a good size slot for the cards?

I think it should be big enough to hold 3 times the amount you expect so you don't have smashed cards............it's personal preference

I would use a large deep box. Like one that diapers would come in our bowl. Cut the whole about 1/2 inch thick and longer than your average card envelope.

I don't know the exact vendor but EBAY has a woman who makes them. A few of the girls on here posted theirs and they all looked really nice!

I just looked, but I don't...I will post them later when I get home. She did a really good job. She used it at her wedding and it was perfect!

this is what DH and i made, we used 1 hatbox and cut a slit in the top.

The size of the box I think depends on how many people you are having (how many cards your going to have) and the cut out for the card I would make a little bigger than a card

Thats what confuses me - i guess we're expecting 100 cards at most - how do you know how big a box to make for that
