DIY card box question

For those of you that made your cardbox...did you use wrapping paper or more of a fabric to cover the boxes? If you used fabric, is there a material you recommend??
I got the boxes last night and am eager to start!

Where did you get the boxes from? I'm thinking about using satin fabric.

i was searching Michaels and AC Moore every time i was near one...finally AC Moore had them in stock yesterday.
I have seen them online at Joann and also AC Moore
