DIY card boxes

so i'm starting to gather up everything i need here
where did everyone get their boxes?
i wanted just hat boxes to stack, but i'm not having great luck finding them.
the only ones i did find were these hot pink and blue high school musical ones at ac moore.
if i can't find plain, i can just spray them with white primer, but i'd rather avoid extra smelly steps if i can.
i picked out which fabric i wanted at joann its just the dumb boxes!

i found my boxes at michaels. I also saw boxes at ac moore...mashalls...and even joanns craft store.

i just saved sturdy boxes that surfaced in our house.

if you're going to cover them in fabric you shouldn't need to do anything to the boxes unless you have a light colored fabric?

well i wanna use ivory and add the color in the ribbon.
we're using a lot of coppers and oranges and i'm reasonably sure the cake will be bright so i don't want them to be exactly the same either.
