I love the mixed text concept, I'm using it all over my invites!
How about like this?
I'm sure you tried it this way... I don't know if there is a better way.
I will play with this and see what I can do...i like the idea

That picture is not mine...that picture is from cjb88, whose wedding was gorgeous!!!! I am however, using my mother's printer which is a brother printer (she does business work out of her house, so it's a home business laser printer). I have seen people say they used a regular ink jet printer, so try your printer and see what happens.
This printer I am using gives them a little curl, but by the time I do the front with the guests address and the back with the return address they come back out flat.

Re: DIY Envelope Question
We just sent out my daughter's invites yesterday. We have 3 printers at home one of which is a laser. None of them would print the envelopes (which are lined and 6 x 6) without getting jammed. We went to Office Max and bought a Brother Laser Jet printer for about $120 and it worked great! Someone on LIW suggested that if there is a back door on the printer, open it up so they come right out the back and don't get curled as much. Hope this helped.

There is a back door, and now the pictuer I was looking at the other day makes sense. Thanks!!!
