DIY Envelope Question - Edited...

What font did you use? I wanted to use my font from my invite, but it doesn't look right.

I'm looking for a calligraphy like font.

thanks!

Editing to add: Can you tell I'm sending out invites this week??

Next Question - What size font did you print on your front envelope. I worry that you don't be able to read it if it's small

When you download a font from that site... does it go right into where your other fonts are?

(not so computer savy!)

I used Avalon, which if you click my username, you can see our monogram, which Avalon was used for also.

No. you actually have to move it from one folder (where most of your downloaded items usually go) to the font folder (which is located in the control panel)

Re: If you printed your own invite envelopes....

I used Chopin Script. I downloaded it from DaFont.com. Also, the instructions to install the font are included on DaFont's website.

Wow I really like that. What font did you use for the block part? How hard was it to set up when you printed your own labels (my concern is how the last name is on a different line)

Thanks!

Re: If you printed your own invite envelopes....

I forget the actual font i used, but I got it from dafont.com (thanks very much to ChrissyandRicky for the rec). There are loads of choices there and you can upload to word and use it from there.

what size font do you use for the font of the envelopes. I'm so worries they will print out too small and you won't be able to read them.

Re: DIY Envelope Question - Edited...

I practiced with the envelopes for my save the dates for when I have to do the real thing!

I can't remember the exact size I used right now (I think it was a 16pt font) but, I played around with a few and practiced with paper first to see how it looked printed out as opposed to on the screen. Since envelope sizes vary, font sizes will as well.

Good luck, not looking forward to doing this!
