DIY favor help

Background: The fiancee and I want to give the famed Whoopie pies from one of our favorite bakeries, One Girl Cookies in Brooklyn as wedding favors. At a cost of $1.50 each, providing them for 150 guests gives an estimate cost of $225....Not bad...But, here's the kicker, to give it in the decorative box the cost jumps to $6.50 per person ($7.25 for two people). For 150, that means it's going to cost a whopping $975! (They cookies are delicious, but not 1000 dollars delicious)...

Question: Can anybody help me come up with a way to creatively still use these as favors? Thanks for your help. I've spent the better part of the day trying to think of ideas, but nothing feasible.

Would they be safe enough in cellophane bags? Or do they really need a box?

We're baking cookies and putting them in cellophane bags - as long as you pack them carefully, they should stay intact, and cellophane bags are soooo affordable.

We did something similar with our favors. We got champagne glasses from ikea (6 for $4.99) and we ordered the boxes from Uline. We made out fantastic with this set up. No one ever thought they were so cheap. We wrapped each glass in tissue paper and put 2 in a box. Uline also has food safe boxes. You can also look on nashville wraps. Both sites also have the cello bags.

OMG that's too much for boxes. Try ordering your own boxes from oriental trading or theknot. And like others have suggested; try the clear celophane! Good Luck!
