Has anyone made their own floral centerpieces, please post any pics and also what materials you needed for them. I've been thinking of maybe making my own. TIA

Re: DIY Floral centerpieces
I did for my e-party. I didn't want to hire a florist just for e-party. I went to the wholesale district and bought the flowers. They come closed though so you have to take care of them very well in order for them to bloom so theres quite some work even before putting them together. I bought medium-sized square vases also from the wholesale district. The flowers I bought, in order for them to bloom they had to stay in warm water and warm temperature. So at first i had 2 big buckets and put them in there with warm water, but of course i constantly had to change the water throughout the day and also had to keep temperature warm in the apartment. When they started to bloom even just a little, i took them out of the buckets and then started putting them in the vases i bought. Again had to change the water quite a few times a day. So had to take them in and out quite a few times, not to mention had about a dozen vases throughout my place lol. Then the other problem was that with amaryllis flowers, the stems are hollow and they can bend and break very easily. So I had to buy bamboo sticks and insert it inside the stem.
So figure out what flowers you want and see what type of care they need. Some need more than others. Also think about transportation and how youre going to get it there.
here is a pic, i just bought flowers that i can throw in a vase and it would be fine. THis isn't the greatest pic, but i dont feel like going through the tons of pics i have to find another one lol

yeah it was more work than i thought it would be. Every morning before work i had to change the water in all the vases. Then I would RUSH home from work so i can change it again bc I knew the water would start getting cold at that point but i also kept the apartment warm so it wouldn't get too cold. If you're up for it then it can be fine.
Not sure about roses what you have to do but if you google it then you can find info on how to care for roses. Like I said, some are easier than others.

There was a girl on here I think her name was curiousgeorge (sp?) that made all her own centerpieces using costco roses! They were so pretty! Simple and elegant! And I think her review gave super cheap prices! Try searching her review or something. Its a great way to save some money.
