DIY gals I did another one

Original post by Celest

Hey ladies I am just finsihing printing up my latest DIY project, which I wanted to share. You can make one for yourself in powerpoint! I wanted one from the guestbook store but wasn't able to get one in time, so I figure I would make it myself & bind it somehow after the wedding. So what do you think?

& I fixed my menus, made the font a little bigger

& did my rehearsal dinner invites & they are out in the mail.

GUez I am taking things to the wire!!!

Oh but back to my original point. Any girls that want another project the guestbook page isn't as hard as it looks. just type it up in Powerpoint & play around with the layout then print on heavier stock paper.

I want to make a guest book also. How are you going to keep it for the wedding if you are binding it after. And are you putting pictures in it when and how

Well after the wedding I will take the pictures that the guest filled out & bind them in some wort of cover (I have a couple of ideas) but kind of like a scrapbook cover. Shoot I can even be super lazy & just get protective sheet sleeve (the kind for a binder) slip them into that & put them in a binder that I decorate. There is so much you can do.

I am not doing pictures on them, I have a spot for the guest to attempt to draw a picture of us, which should come out real funny

Cute but How will you keep at the reception. In the slips and have people take them in and out. I scrap book all the time but my main concern is what to do with it at the reception. I am affriad of the pages bending and ripping. You know what I mean?

Noo. They are going to simple be the loose sheet. I printed them on cardstock paper & will have the in a pile next to the sign in sheet with some pens, as the sign in those that want can take a sheet to their table & fill out. I will have my DOC collect at them from them later. We'll anouce.

I am actually working on the little table sign to put next to it to inform people what to do

They came out great! I am so glad that I am not the only crazy one to make my own modeled after the guestbook store. I have been working on mine for a while but I used publisher!

my mom thought I was nuts for doing it...I was like' um....$50-60 at the store or 4.99 for a pack of 500 sheets of card stock at Walmart- you do the math...'

She saw it my way after that!
