I love this idea for my photo shoot - but hate to pay over $50.00 with shipping for this. It says that it is 8 X 16, MDF BOARD, hand painted white, black lettering decals, finished in Matte. Does anyone think that if I go to the local craft store I can make this for alot less? Also, if I show them the picture if they can help me find what I need to make it. Also, does any one have any suggestions on an easy way to make it.

Why don't you design it yourself in word and then get it printed at a local shop? Tell them you want a matte finish and have it mounted on foam board!

I was thinking the same thing, you can definitely just cut out foam board and even get those fancy vinyl stick-on letters from Michael's &/or AC Moore!

This way, you don't have to do ANY work other than design it. We do this ALL the time at my job. Just tell the print shop what you want (matte finish, mounted on foam board) and they will know exactly what you are talking about.
