So i was looking around....and with SO MUCH TIME, before the wedding there really isnt much i can do NOW along the DIY route. I dont have a menu...so i cant make those, i dont really have everything 100% with bridal party, so no programs....same with guest list and making place cards....BUT. I do think i can start making petal cones. I'm not 100% sure what they are for....LOL, I think they hold the petals that are thrown on the bride and groom after the ceremony (but i could be wrong!).
But my question is....for those who have made them...HOW?! It looks simple enough, roll up some paper and decorate. But, i've seen some AWESOME ones with printing inside and i would love to do that. Also, my wedding has a star wars theme, any idea how to incorporate that? Any suggestions would be highly appreciated! THANKS!

The only ones i've seen are like doilies that are just turned in w/ a sticker..i guess you cld just print out w/e you want though and then roll it up so that the font is on the inside...maybe you cld use the star wars font or a quote you like? even tho we are far off you can still have fun w/ little stuff like maybe buying a candle and printing something for your unity candle w. ribbon and what not...or making labels for your favors? i've bought a couple of things that i saw good deals on and wanted so theres that too! :)
OH! and i already started typing up a little OOT booklet thingy..ive been looking into local sites/atrractions trying to figure out what guests wld be into!

Thanks everyone! I'm gonna just buy the STDs from vistaprint, so no DIY there....plus we arent 100% sure on a exact date yet either lol.
As for our theme. Its kinda in between ALL OUT and just little touches. There will be lightsabers, and some masks....the cake will totally have a han and leia caketopper...we have a lot of ideas, just need to make them come to life! I'm thinking that the cone will be stars and the front will either be the star wars block font or something similer.

just make sure the church (or whatever your ceremony will be) allows you to throw petal cones. a lot of places don't.

sjr, dont worry i got the links before LIW took them down!!!!! haha, it is annoying!
I'm going to ask the RH about petals next time i see them, the ceremony is gonna be outdoors so it shouldnt be a problem ( i hope).
