OK so we are making our own wedding invitations, because the ones that I want are $9 a piece. Anyway why am I drawing a blank on how to do any of this. Do I need 2 seperate cards for this......meaning... 1. for the actually invitation 2. for the reception info 3. for the response card ?????
We tried making one last night and only this fits on the actually invitation...
Mr. & Mrs Thomas ????? request the honor of your presence at the marriage of there daughter Bride to Groom
Friday february 16 2007 4 oclock at St john of god address
This is basically how it looks right now, of course alot neater and proper.... So now where does the information about the cocktail hour and reception go?????
I am sorry girls I am CLUELESS right now, but I know you all will help.
It depends on what type of invite you are making, but generally you need the actual invite, RSVP, Reception card (if the info is not on the invite itself), Accomodations and Directions. It's not terribly hard, just time consuming and it can be very frustrating too. I got all my cardstick from invitesbyyou.com and my envelopes from invitationoutlet.com. Good luck!!!

If you are getting married at the RH, then on the bottom of the invitation you can write 'Reception Immediately Following'. Or you can have a separate card. If you are getting married at, let's say, a church, you should have a separate reception card and a separate RSVP card w/ envelope. HTH!!
