DIY Invitations ?

For everyone who did DIY invitations, how does this work? You determine what you want and bring everything to a local printer to get the pieces printed and then put it all together yourself (or with FH)? I am liking the idea of doing my invitations myself (i am not finding anything like anywhere and am almost at the point where i think its easier to just do it myself) but i dont want to print them on my printer at home and want them to look nice, how do you do it?

i did it almost all myself. i didn't have someone else print it for me.

but... i am getting something else printed for me. you can create whatever you want, just make sure that you save it in a format that will be easy for them to open; ie. pdf, doc, ppf.

i think you're best bet would be to go in person and ask them what they need from you and what their turnaround time is.
