Has anyone done or thought about doing your own invitations? I know Staples and Party City have some stuff but, is it with it?

Before I even signed up for this site, I came across DIY Invitations that Camacho (06 bride I believe) did and I was completely floored... I saved it and said I'm sooo doing that...
Now, I think it would take a ton of time to assemble and might even cost as much or even more than invites that are not DIY...
I prob will not end up doing it DIY just because they are really something that people just toss in the garbage if you think about it ... And to know I invested major time and effort into something people threw out, I think I would cry.... JMO!

I went to staples and michael's today. I saw a bunch of stuff for invitations, programs, place cards, etc.... Does anyone know of another place to go to or online?

We did our own DIY invites and STD's. It was cheapre in the end and we loved how we made them exactly how we wanted them
