If you DIYed your invites, how did you attach layers together (like the main invite to a backing layer)....glue dots? Another method?
Also, did you use cardstock for the main invite layer, or some other kind of paper? We're trying to figure all of this out now so we can get started designing and assembling!!

we went to paper source and kinkos. We are attaching our layers with a tiny hole punch and twine.
there's a tape pen on cardsandpockets.com- BUY THAT!!!! It will save you sooooooooooo much time!!!
My MOH is a professional framer so she had one already but its the same thing!

My invites are made out of cardstock...I put them together using some kind of tape gun I got on ebay which is basically doublesided tape...I tried glue dots but the invite didn't lay flat enough with them....my DIY invites are in my alblum

Jessica and Nicole, I didn't know there were tape pens or tape guns; Do both hold double stick tape? I use a lot of doublestick for scrapbook purposes, and I love to make my own cards, and I thought I should add the tape pen/gun to my craft supplies! Thanks for the tip!! Mary MOB

i asked this question earlier and most suggested double sided tape or a scrapbook tape gun thingy.
we were at AC Moore and Michaels today and both places suggested we use an acid free craft glue stick thing that they had. we just put a sample together and it worked out great

i am using the scrapbooking glue dots...they are so easy and there's no mess. You just put your finger on a glue dot then stick it on the paper and it comes right off your finger. they take 2 seconds and glue like cement!
