DIY Invites

So I have booked my RH (hooray!!), so I am ready to start on invitations.

I want to do them myself, but I have no idea where to begin. I am fairly good with the computer, but have never done any projects. If I buy an invitation kit from Michaels, will the instructions be clear? If not, where can I find out how to do the invitations?

They are usually pretty simple if you get the kits from Michaels.

I used them for my engagement party invites and I found that the invites with vellum paper (like a tissue paper) required quite a bit of attention and PATIENCE... FH had to handle it when the ink would pool up and smudge, I was too frustrated. But other than that, they were really simple and people were impressed we did them ourselves.
