DIY Invites

Hi Ladies, I am going to make my own invites, I've looked around and have some ideas, but still am not 100% sure. If any of you have made your own could you post pics, and also let me know where you got the invitation kits from! Thanks so much ladies!

i didnt use a kit. I simply went to paper presentation, bought all the cardstock i would need. Also went to a place in the city to buy the rhinestone buckles, and went to another place to buy the ribbon i needed, bought it at a wholesale place. I also put them in a box, so i bought the boxes from a wholesale box place in LI.

Here is a pic of my invite that i made, and also the box after it was done how it looked like well i took the pic before i put the stamps on actually so not completely done

i'm doing my own also..
i got the actual invite kit from Michales they have a whole line from Brides now and there are so many nice kits. they are $35 but there are always 40% and 50% off coupons

i'm going to order the paper to make my pocket folds soon since i always wanted the pretty invites that are crazy expensive but since we don't have the budget for $5 a invite i started messing around with the paper myself and they are actually fairly easy to make you just need to be patient and take your time.

oh and forgot to say that i needed ALOT of permanent double sided scotch tape. I bought 10 rolls at first and wasnt even close to enough lol, i probably had to go back to the store 3x to get more. You will need lots of it if you do a layered look, pocketfolds or anything similar.

i bought the box from a wholesale place in LI, they are called fetpak. You can also do a search online for wholesale boxes and you'll get lots of sites. I went with the one in LI bc i was able to pick them up myself instead of waiting for them to ship them to me bc i needed them right away lol

yeah i didnt want to do my own invites although i knew i could, didnt want to be bothered with it lol. I ordered that invite from somebody else and they didnt have it ready for when i needed it, infact when i contacted her to ask her when will i get them since it was past the date i told her i needed them by and she told me april 19, which was less than a month before my wedding. So i ended up having to do them myself right away and a week to do it lol.

Make sure you call first, bc its not a store. Its an office. They normally just sell to businesses, but will take other orders too.
