Re: diy invites

I got one of the Brides kits from Michaels. It was SUPER easy to use.

The only issue was that sometimes it printed off-center for whatever reason. I'd get an extra box just in case. But they were really easy once we figured out how to make them print on the right size (it has to do with adjusting the paper size in Microsoft Word). Our only issue was that the envelopes were shiny, so the ink from the printer didn't really show up that well. We ended up going with 'tacky' labels. Oh well!

It takes a little playing around with, but not so bad. The RSVP cards were the difficult part! But it worked out nicely and cheaply and I'm very pleased with them!

Easy as pie!

I cut scrap paper to the exact size of the invite and used that while adjusting the size of the paper, size of the font, etc. Held those up to the invite cards before I decided on how to print it exactly.

Takes a little time, but so worth the savings. I jazzed mine up with a little crystal :)

Re: diy invites

Great Thank you girls!! I was hesitant, but I either have to order online this weekend, or DIY since its kinda last minute.

I just saw a really cute BRIDES kit at Marshalls at lunch on clearance for only $7.50 for 30 invites!! So I was very tempted, but wasn't sure if I would be able to do it or not! I think I am going to go buy them after work!

I got some from there too... My FMIL is a legal secretary and is a genius when it come to Microsoft word and other like programs, so she is taking on the printing part of this (love her for doing so). I also have charms and metallic finish backing paper to add as a border around the invite. And FH is creating a mongram him self. I 'll post pics once they are done!

I thought about printing my own, but I am worried that the invite would get all bent up/curved in the printer. The paper would have to come up from the bottom and curve through the printer, so I don't know if it would mess it up. Did anyone have that trouble?
