DIY Invites & response cards

I plan to order my invites from JeanM, but i want to make my own response cards becuase I want them to be word a specific way.

For those of you who did DIY invites, what kind of paper did you use for the response cards and where did you get it from? I want mine to be white with dark red ink.

(BTW - I only have an injet printer to print them - no laser printer available to use)

I was also thinking of making them as postcards so I don't have to get the envelopes...but how do you make a postcard????

I'm STUCK!!!! Help!!!!

Thanks!

You should be able to order the response cards from JeanM with any wording you want.

If you want to make your own, Rossler paper is a really nice paper. It's available only in fine stationery stores. I know Lion in the Sun in Huntington carries it, or check out Fat Cat Paperie in Center Moriches. They both carry the paper and matching envelopes, and you can buy it by the sheet.

The wording I want won't fit on the JeanM response cards...

Go to staples, get the $11 ream of cardstock, print 4 postcards per sheet, and cut it in quarters. It worked for our save the dates, and we're doing roughly the same thing for the inserts (although they won't be in quarters, they're stacked). Or, just buy postcard paper (look in the aisle with the cd labels and business cards and stuff).

Printmaster or any of the el cheapo print project software will have the template for postcards.

I ordered my paper from paperandmore.com. They will cut it to the size you want for a small fee.
