Re: diy menus - what paper did you use and what type of printer?
i am doing these on friday night. I bought ivory paper to print the menus and dark brown cardstock to mount them on. the guy at paper presentation told me I could use an inkjet so I'm going to try that - I did for my favor tags on the same paper and they came out fine.
good luck!

i used 2 kinds of cardstock... the pink was way to thick for the printer so i got some thinner stuff and used that to print on..I used my reg. HP laser jet printer. it was great!
also highly recommend going to paper presentation in the city they have a GREAT selection and their prices were great!

I used cardstock and printed on an inkjet paper. I printed one as a test and it came out fine.

I think it was called Stardream....I got it at Paper Presentation. The color was opal and I used my desk laser printer.

I just bought cardstock at Staples but I haven't done them yet. I hope it works okay!

I bought my package of cardstock from Office Max and it printed fine. You should have no problems

I am pretty much doing the same thing. I have ivory cardstock and two-toned brown paper - dark brown on one side, and lighter brown - like a taupe - on the other, and I think I will use the dark brown side next to the ivory cardstock. The brown paper has these 'thread lines' in them - I don't know what to call them, but it almost look like creases or big folds because they are darker than the paper. I think it looks very fall like. I am using orange paper that has the same texture to make a maple leaf with a punch, which will be glued to the top of the menu. I got the paper at Michaels and I am printing the menus on the ivory paper on an HP inkjet printer. It's 12x12 paper which I will cut to fit into my printer. I made one sample - the pic is in my album.
