DIY Monogram Parasol - added date.

DIY Monogram Parasol - added date.

parasol - $6

paint - $.97

I enlarged the font we used in our icon:

and printed each letter on a separate sheet - about 8 inches in height & 4 inches for the numbers.

I taped them behind the parasol and lightly traced the letters & numbers on with a pencil. Filled in with paint. Took about 60 min.

decided to add the date the next day...

thanks!

the wedding is going to be at my sisters house, she has a pretty big sized yard. Right now we are at 80 guests, but I think we may end up with 85.

as far as tips - don't let the nay-sayers get you down. People were always trying to tell me how hard, expensive, etc a home wedding is.. but really it's not that serious. I am the most stress-free bride I know - well 2nd to my friend who got married in Aruba.

The one thing I will say is you may consider having a day-of-coordinator. Since you don't get that sort of service at your home as compared to a hall where they have people there to keep everything on track. This way your friends and family can enjoy the day, and all the coordination is left up to someone else.

let me know if you have any other questions. HTH!
